Dealing with many different customers from around the world everyday, we often come across questions that seem to be common among people who are interested in staying at our houses. About The Geust house

  • Can I meet the residents before moving in?
  • We do not set up meeting with residents before you move in. However, you might have a chance to meet tenants when you visit a property
  • Do I have to pay any additional fees other than rent?
  • You are required to pay 20,000yen as management fee and cleaning fee. Rent includes all utility fees.
  • What about a deposit?
  • Deposit is not required.
  • Will you let me know when a currently occupied room becomes available.
  • No, We are sorry, but we do not constantly check an availability of properties you've asked and inform you when it becomes available. Please check vacancies on our website or contact us by e-mail or phone call.

Booking

  • How can I book a room?
  • You could book a room by paying 20,000yen as booking fee. Booking fee will be taken as cleaning fee and management fee when you sign a contract. Rooms can be booked for 2weeks maximum. Booking will be accepted only when we confirm payment of booking fee. Once you book a room, booking fee cannot be refounded when you cancel a booking before you sign a contract.

Singing a contract

  • Can I stay at the Shared House for just one week?
  • Minimum term of a contract is one monoth. However, we will try to meet your requirements, so please feel free to contact us first.
  • Where can I sign a contract with the company?
  • At our office in Shinjyuku or at a property(if there is a caretaker). You can sign a contract from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Please make an appointment for a contract signing.
  • What should I bring to sign a contract?
  • Credit card is accepted for a payment. (VISA, Master, DC) ※5 % of commision fee will be charged.

Equipment & Furniture

  • What kind of furniture is provided in the room?
  • Air-conditioner, Futon set, bed (for flooring room), desk and chair are installed in each room, except Japanese style rooms. You will also receive a small gift of amenity goods like you might find in a hotel when you move in.
  • How about the common area?
  • The common areas are fully equipped with TV, Internet, air-conditioning, fridge, washer, vacuum cleaner, kitchen appliances, cupboards and furniture, dishes and cutlery, kitchen utensils, kettle and pans, detergents, soap, trash can, slippers, toilet paper, etc.

About Friends

  • Can I invite my friends to a house?
  • Yes. You can invite your friends (both male and female) to a house.
  • Can I invite my friends to a house?
  • No ,only residents can stay in a house overnight. It is not allowed even if a visitor offers to pay an accommodation fee.

About Moving out

  • What do I need to do when I move out a property.
  • You are required to give us one month notice before you move out. You just need to return a key to us. ※No trash or garbage should not be left in a room.
  • Can I leave a property before my contract ends.
  • Yes, you can. You are required to give us one month notice before you move out. ※Rent money cannot be refounded.
